BlacKkKlansman
This was my first ever Spike Lee joint and this was fucking great. What a great film which was some how a true story. Even if this film was fiction people wouldn't believe that this would even be possible. This film's story was really enjoyable to watch and see how Ron infiltrates the KKK and exposed their biggotted racist bitch asses. Overall this film carries such strong themes of racial togetherness and community throughout the entire film, and how tragedy can bring a group of people together to make such lasting change for the better of a race. I thought that the contrasting viewpoints between Patrice and Ron throughout was on of the most interesting parts of the film, since you have a Black cop on one end and a youth black leader who hates them.
Given how heavy the themes are in this film, it's pretty fucking hilarious. The banter between the cops and the stupidity and utter dumbassery of the biggots was hilarious.
The performances from Adam Driver and John David Washington steal the show they give such a great genuine portayal of their characters
