Shoplifters

This film was so wholesome throughout the whole film, then it just rips your absolute heart out. I loved this story with this makeshift delinquent family. Even though the adults aren't good people they at least care for one another, especially the kids. I loved just how simple this story was as well. This is one of the reasons why I love Japanese filmmaking is because of believable stories like this, that are relatable and common. This is the exact type of film that I want to make in my not so distant future. The kids were the best part of this film. They were so cute and most of all they were intelligent. The fact that these kids knew what was right from wrong goes to show how fucked up their past lives really were. Such a good film. Thanks Jonah for inviting me over and watching it with me.
