Backrooms

I watched this with 3 of my friends, this is what they had to say: Friend A (cooked attention span): “shit was so boring” Friend B (doesn’t watch movies):  “it was so confusing, I don’t get it all” Friend C (loves horror films): “It was alright, the ending was too abrupt” 1 hour later “Amazing film after I noticed all the small details”  I don’t think this is the kind of film general audiences would love, but people who have watched a lot of horror films and those who love elevated horror films would adore.  Kane Parsons perfectly captured the mysteriousness and otherworldly feeling of The Backrooms, the fact that no one knows what it is and how to even describe it in the film really sells the horror of it. The film gives you enough to know about The Backrooms, but not too much that it answers any of the questions you had and lets you form your own theories on what exactly it is was so perfect.
