BLUE EYE SAMURAI

first five episodes were really intruguing, I really liked the art style and initial portrayal of the characters,  but after the 5th episode there was no character development at all. I’m guessing they’re trying to leave something for season 2?  The last episode did not do much.   taigens scene telling ringo how important it was for his honor or whatever to come with him to warn the shogun held zero stakes because really what impact did that have on anything that happened - this is not really important but it is bugging me. I did like it quite a bit. While I wish they did something more with the characters in the second half I do also think the slow development could be good IF they actually continue the show.
