Half Nelson

ryan gosling happy movie when loved this movie though i like how they don't try to make Dan redeemable or turn a new leaf out of no where,, cause while it seems that movies like these tend to follow a formula, half nelson doesnt. there's parts of the movie where you think wow this guy is fucked up, like the school dance or when he forces himself on isabela,,, like at the end of the day this guy has a problem, he might be well-intentioned, but his addiction drives his toxic behaviour,,,, he crosses so many boundaries with Drey despite wanting to be a protective figure for her, because he simply is not the right person to be that,, at one point of the movie he says he only uses to cope but he can handle it NO HE CANT!!!!! and that's the point
