Mission: Impossible - Fallout

Mission: Impossible Ranked Mission: Impossible—Fallout is not only my favorite of the franchise so far, it is one of the best action films I have ever seen. McQuarrie's touch on this series is way different and more satisfying compared to other directors. John Woo did ok with M:I 2, Abrams was pretty good with M:I 3, and I liked Bird with Ghost Protocol, but McQuarrie, starting with Rogue Nation has a handle on these films that feels more intense and engaging than others. Not to say the others are bad, just that they lacked a bit of sauce. This film, specifically, contains jaw-dropping set pieces, engaging twists, and camera work that is borderline mind-blowing. The performances with that are incredible. Cruise is obviously always great, but Cavill's character was compelling. Everything with his character I thought was really smooth, and he is one of the best supporting characters we have gotten in the franchise. Overall, Fallout is fun, suspenseful, and worthy to check out if you are a fan of action. I am looking forward to seeing where this lands in my final ranking of the Mission: Impossible franchise.
