Hoppers

Came in expecting to not like it. But you never want to come into a movie expecting it to be bad and not enjoy it. One of the magical parts of movies is that you’ll never know if you’ll like it. Maybe the trailer was bad but that doesn’t mean the movies bad. I thought I wouldn’t like this but I really enjoyed it all the way through. All the animal characters were really interesting and good, some of the human characters felt generic and bland. But it hits many emotional beats very well and as a very strong opening scene. It definitely picks up more in the latter half and feels very much like “The Wild Robot”.
