Skyfall
Holy cow, this was a truly phenomenal movie. I loved the slow-burn aspect that they used in this one. Not to say I didn't enjoy the high-intensity pace used in the first 2 films but with fewer action scenes in this one, it allowed them to be much more stressful and hold much more weight in the grand scheme of the movie.
Javier Bardem oh my goodness. I was almost giddy when I saw he was in this, and he delivered and then some. His character did not show up until about halfway through the movie, but his screen presence was insane, and you could tell just how fearful M was of him. Also, the scene where he was first introduced was amazing. The long shot of him walking through the room while telling a story about his childhood was horrific and showed me exactly who he was and what he was about immediately.
I am not big enough into films to notice things like this very often but the lighting in this movie was just incredible. Whether that was the fight scene in Shanghai, the ending while the house was on fire, or all of the time that was spent in the tunnels it always looked great and was a super eye-pleasing movie.
The last thing I wanted to mention before I wrap up is that Daniel Craig does a tremendous job at playing Bond. he really captures the confidence and almost a sleaziness when he is talking to women that they cannot seem to resist.
This was my favorite Bond film yet with some great cinematography, great acting, and a tremendous story that kept me glued to the screen the entire time.
