Aparajito
Aparajito is a super well-written narrative about a boy from the village, who struggles and works his ass off to embrace the city life and live a normal life as opposed to how he has lived in his childhood with his parents, a life which had darkness all around. This movie has some relatable elements too, like fortune and misfortune, deaths of the closer ones, etc. Any person who has gone through this really tough shit as a child, especially the Indians from 1970s, can heavily relate to this movie. I'm saying this because my father also had gone through the same things that Apu does in this movie.
Talking about the cinematography: I watched the coloured version of this movie, and here also, the steps that Satyajit Ray takes are way ahead of time, just like in the prequel. Not a single flaw is yet noticed, and the actors are also really flawless. They know what they're portraying and hence, they're nailing it! The ending is also very emotional.
Well, if I, as someone who's not from really old generations, can love this movie, then why can't you all?
