Misery
As an aspiring writer myself, I could feel all the scenes, like what if I were in place of Paul Sheldon, and one crazy fan would've held me captive cuz I don't even know how to fight for my own defense!! No matter whether you're a celebrity or not, this movie will make you feel horrible. And sadly people like Annie Wilkes exist in real life. There's no denial to the fact that fame is like two sides of a coin, and the way people treat you after you gain fame, is super horrible. You have to dance on their fingertips as to remain alive, and that's what Paul Sheldon does here, too. And that all, is my own perspective on this movie, from the "Stan-Idol relationship" case.
Some people say that this movie is about cocaine addiction. Well, I don't know much about this, but I would seriously love to know it, because I love stories that are multi-dimensional.
