Might be my favourite western yet. I won’t lie, when the movie started I wasn’t too much into it, the setup was very similar to past movies before. But then it started deconstructing the genre, and had a lot to say about myths of grandiosity, redemption, the act of killing someone, and it all clicked before the first hour ended. I’m sorry Clint Eastwood, I wasn’t really familiar with your game.

First Kore-eda movie ever, and wow I loved it. It has a lot to say about love, manhood, and parents, and most importantly it delivers it all in three different perspectives that slowly depict what is to me quite a touching story. I just love it when directors mess with story structures to enrich the characters' point of view on certain topics. Can’t wait to see his other movies.

They just don’t make movies like this anymore 😔
