Priscilla
Priscilla feels less like a biopic and more like a quiet, lonely diary.
directed by Sofia Coppola, the whole movie has this soft, dreamy aesthetic pastel, slow, almost delicate but underneath that? it’s actually really sad. it doesn’t feel loud or dramatic. it feels isolating.
you’re basically watching a girl grow up too fast in a world that doesn’t really belong to her. everything looks beautiful on the outside, but emotionally it feels small and controlled. that contrast is what makes it hurt.
and knowing it’s about Priscilla Presley and her relationship with Elvis Presley just makes it heavier. it’s not chaotic like a typical rockstar story it’s quiet, uncomfortable, and kind of suffocating at times.
overall?
pretty visuals.
soft sadness.
a coming of age story that doesn’t feel freeing.
mind you shes only 14 when she met elvis and he was 24 and i know that doesn’t feel right from the start.Anyway cinematography is top tier
