Tropical Malady
I try to watch Apichatpong Weerasethakul's films a couple of years apart to save and savor them as much as I can, because I have no doubt it'll be a transformative experience. The soul of his films is so dominant that I consistently read them as video installations. It's fascinating to see how he executes love, and it's place in human nature. "Love is a malady without a cure." The premise is nothing new, but just like a Thich Nhat Hanh book, every viewing is deeper than before.
