***“So to be become an Avenger, are there like trials, or an interview?”*** *-* Homecoming will always be a solid enough Spider-Man origin story, but I must say, rewatching any of these Marvel films on their own, without continuity, makes them much less captivating. I’m quite excited for Brand New Day, at least much more so then when the trailer initially dropped; I’m even seeing it tonight with family in a packed theatre, yet it’s going to take a lot to truly reattach me to this franchise—I’d be surprised if anything could at this point. ***67/100***

As I continue my journey through the Coen Brothers filmography, I’ve noticed their consistent gravitation toward blending bleak and gritty crime noir with satirical comedy, which ultimately creates an otherworldly surrealistic feel. Of the Coen’s first six films, Fargo is their first masterful attempt at blending these two genres seamlessly, altogether creating one of the most singular atmospheres I’ve experienced along my film journey. ***90/100*** Full review later, I need to sit on my thoughts, truly collect them. Notes: -Expertly crafted and damn funny. - The comedy surrounds the noir aspects in a way I’ve never really seen before, so for that alone. - Fargo is in contention for the most singular thriller of all time. -The cast is stellar beyond belief, Francis in particular.

***“My life is full because I know that I am loved.”*** ***-*** :(. I didn’t plan to rewatch this heartbreaking masterpiece anytime soon, yet at the same time, I’d do anything for a complete Lynch watch-through with close friends and family. The Elephant Man is one of the single most important stories of all time. ***99/100***

Honestly, slightly better than I expected. Nevertheless, 72 Hours is the first bad, “turn your brain off” movie I’ve watched in quite a while, which is exactly what I was seeking tonight, so I’m not complaining. Ben Marshall and Kevin Hart were relatively funny, I guess. ***47/100***
