Yeah, knew I'd love this movie. Perfect film, even 82 years later. Billy was just so unbelievably saucy with his screenplays. He was a master in writing chemistry between characters, whether platonic or romantic, and then he got the best out of his actors and actresses. "I was just about to fix some iced tea, would you like a glass?" "Yes, of course. Unless you've got a bottle of beer that's not working." and "See what I mean, Walter?" "Sure, I've got good eyesight." Just an example of some slick writing from Wilder, and Fred MacMurrray and Barbara Stanwyck are just elite at the banter here. The Apartment was my only other MacMurray, so to see him decades earlier as a younger actor and lead really flashed his chops even more. Love his comedic timing haha Fantastic film. All timer. My third favorite Wilder.
