Probably would’ve rated this 1 1/2 stars if not for the slightly interesting third act. Extremely poor acting in the beginning, especially from the co-host from the podcast. I don’t know how you can expect anyone to talk that slow and think you’re keeping your listeners focused. These two people did not know how to run a podcast bro. The fact that they were searching things up on google and showing the viewer stuff that the podcast listeners obviously can’t see took me out of it. The idea was solid, actually super creative in my opinion and could’ve been super scary. Yet in this film, they spend more time on still cuts focused on Jesus and empty space where you’re thinking a jumpscare or something will be in that space (given it does happen a couple times) than expanding on the demon. For how much they did it, it did not pay off in the end. Onto the good parts of the movie. I really enjoyed the audio messages that they received that started the whole movie, and I enjoyed SOME of the shots (if you’ve seen the movie you’ll probably know what I’m referencing). The audio design, holy shit. That was easily the best part of the movie. That was fantastic. But for me, there isn’t enough good to outweigh the bad, so I have to go with ⭐️⭐️ on this one. PS - W Tenet mention. I loved that.
