Cure
Sometimes you finish a movie and feel like you need to rewatch it immediately. That’s how I feel right now while writing this review. What a great movie, so incredibly well done.
I feel like there is so much that I missed here. I watched it and I understood the story but I still feel like there is so much I didn’t notice and that there is so much more I could get out of this. The direction is absolutely phenomenal so is the acting and the cinematography is to die for, it was beautiful. I love how it feels so dark and distant. It’s such an empty and bleak movie yet there’s so much going on, which is always a favourite of mine. I’m also very glad Kurosawa has said that he was inspired by Se7en when making this film because I had that movie in the back of my head the entire time, although, I actually think I like this movie a little bit more. I don’t think I have it in me to completely dissect this movie on a first watch but I just have to say this was awesome and it really did it for me.
