This film slowly creeps up and gets under your skin in the best way possible. Literally spellbound for 94 minutes. That close-up shot of the raspberry jam trickling down the melting ice cream cone. Wow. Brilliant visual storytelling in the context of that scene. And the wide shot of James jumping out of the window and running to the cornfield (or maybe it’s a field of wheat, not too sure) is staggeringly beautiful. Lynne Ramsay, please make more movies.
