Her
Her was a brilliant film, everything from the set and colours to the incredible performances both Joaquin and Scarlett made, on screen and off screen, I had known this film would exceed all of my expectations and more.
Seeing this in a time where situations like this become far more normalised and are probably the equivalent to the movie, it helps me realise more and more about not just love, but how, and why being in love, makes you do such things. To not just experience emotions, but hold the capacity for them.
I am in a place where I am alone, and a teenager, and this movie was very comforting and resonated a lot with me, not particularly the OS stuff, but more so being alone and trying to find a little good in life, and holding onto it a bit more tightly than needed. I feel disconnected from reality most times which is why I drown myself in movies and books. Now, suprisingly I didn’t cry at this film, but rethinking about it and replaying quotes in my mind, It is bound to happen in around 5 minutes.I shouldve watched this movie sooner.
As a female, It’s a little disheartening seeing most of the reviews be about men and incels(although yes sometimes you’re right), women do experience loneliness and not finding a relationship and can even go through greater lengths to fill in the void..But that’s for another time..
Overall, this film was amazing and I truly loved it, up into the top 4 you go! Love is complicated, but love is love.
im gonna go cry in the shower now, bye!
