Superman

I liked this movie very much. The following review sounds very negative but I care too much about superhero movies than to neglect where it could have been improved. Very enjoyable. Superman has trunks and is actually wearing a costume for most of his screen time! Lex Luthor is diabolically dubious and Jimmy Olsen is the best character. I will say, way too many non-Superman related characters kept snagging the spotlight in a way that made the plot feel disorienting and unfocused. Gunn is great at writing teams and it definitely shows here, but I really wish this could’ve been just a Superman movie. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed Mr. Terrific, I just feel that the Justice League works best when they’re actually the Justice League and have more than three members. I’ve seen many folks swearing that this is the single greatest comic book movie of all time and like… no. It is still very good I LIKE THIS MOVIE. All in all, my biggest gripe is not getting to see enough of Superman just doing his thing. It feels like someone other than Clark is the POV character for most of the movie and it really crumples the bumper of this Lamborghini.
