AMAZE! AMAZE! AMAZE! Absolutely fucking loved this movie. The book is one of my favorites and I genuinely think this is probably the best possible adaptation to film we could’ve gotten of this. Stellar visuals and acting. Grace and Rocky’s relationships is one of my absolute favorite fictional duos of all time. Loved the changes as someone who has read the book and I loved rocky being able to watch movies and see earth. Honestly so fucking good if I could give higher than a 5 I would. If you liked this READ THE BOOK you’ll love the book I swear. If you’ve already read the book re read that shit you know it’s worth it

Recently read through all five books so I’ll be slowly watching the movies leading up to Sunrise on the Reaping in November. This one might be lowkey my least favorite, not because it isn’t good but because the other ones are more interesting in my opinion. I think this one has to setup so much of the world and how it functions that the rest benefit by already having that established and being able to explore deeper and more specific parts of the world and characters. Still a great and iconic movie.

Might be time to hang up the mask for a few years. Lowkey feels like 3 different scripts meshed together. Idk it was fine I had fun for the most part but the writing just kinda wasn’t good. Absolutely love Matthew Lillard but the way his parts were shot felt like an escape room clue or something idk. There are multiple script moments where the characters would start the sequence doing competent things, meta comment on dumb decisions past characters have made, and then by the end of the sequence they were just doing the same dumb shit they just commented on. 5 and 6 fucking clears this and anyone who says differently needs to lock in.

Second movie I watched while building the Project Hail Mary Lego set and naturally after Interstellar I had to watch another one with Matt Damon stuck in space. Such a fun and unique concept and story. Love the jumping narratives and the vlog style check ins from Watney. I cannot wait for Project Hail Mary I’m fr tweaking out I need it now
