Watched this as a warmup for The Odyssey this summer. I guess it’s just the usual hollywood reasons but Troy obviously isn’t fully faithful to the source material. Nolan will probably do the same to some extent like the casting choices we’re seeing already. Decent adaptation though, the film got me asking Claude about Homer and it’s really interesting stuff.

Saw the theatrical cut which is an hour shorter so i feel like i havent experienced this movie to the fullest yet
