Pitch Perfect 2

365 Days of Film pick #70 Pitch Perfect 2 Great sequel. Probably my favourite one in the franchise but it’s very close to the first one. I think the addition of Hailee Seinfeld is great even though she fucks up the riff off with that fuckass Flashlight song. Also not enough Jesse in this one. But the film is more about the Bella’s finding themselves again so it’s understandable. More classic Fat Amy she’s so inspirational as a fellow fat Australian. Adam Devine is perfect as Bumper. I haven’t watched Bumper in Berlin properly so I don’t know if that’s any good but he is fantastic here. All the Bella’s again are amazing. I like they add more in the characters that didn’t get too much screen time last movie. I’ve seen a lot of people say Das Sound Machine should of won but try watching this and not getting emotional and teary eyed when all the generations of Bella’s are on stage singing with each other it’s just simply beautiful. Das Sound Machine are pretty good villains. Not evil but a very frustrating obstacle for The Bella's. Keegan Michael Key is phenomenal in this film too, absolutely hilarious and steals the show. **CONCEPT 10/10 ACTING 10/10 PRODUCTION (SET DESIGN, COSTUMES, LIGHTING, SOUND DESIGN, MIXING ETC ETC) 8/10 EXECUTION OF THEMES 10/10 WRITING 9/10 VISUAL STORYTELLING 8/10 ENJOYMENT WHILE WATCHING 10/10 **
