The Love Bug

This movie is batshit insane and goes in directions you have no way of knowing if you’ve never read anything about it. Herbie (the car) gets drunk, loses his race, gets depressed, attempts suicide and needs to be talked down by Jim Douglas (the guy) who are definitely gay for each other.  The villain Thorndyke’s car is invaded by a bear (the animal), and the bear tries to wake him up when he faints and assumes the brace position when they crash. Top tier bear acting. Herbie is awesome.
