This is more than an erotic thriller, it's a beautifully layered story that explores liberation, intimacy and trust. The connection between Hideko and Sook-hee is so so unique: the niece of a wealthy aristocrat and the daughter of a notorious thief. Who would've thought their bond would turn into a rebellion against the forces trying to control them? I loveee how this film builds tension and tenderness side by side, and how it treats their intimacy not as spectacle, but as freedom. I'll definitely be revisiting this. Amazing watch!!!! (5/5)

I'm beyond speechless. This movie is definitely worth the hype. If you haven't seen it, literally what are you doing??

What struck me the most is how this film shows that both denial and stigma don't just hurt the individual but they fracture families too. Society's refusal to accept reality creates pain that spreads outward, affecting everyone involved. In that sense, this film isn't just about two lovers, but how acceptance itself becomes the key to healing communities. -Great watch :))

A chaotic yet brilliant film that exposes the dark underbelly of fame and the music industry. Winslow starts as a man passionate about music, but Swan's manipulative interest leads to his downfall, echoing the Faust tale as he signs away everything he owns and knows to Swan. Winslow's cantata is the masterpiece and blueprint of this story it's so good everyone wants a piece (myself included, i've been searching the internet for it 😂). Pheonix's voice brings pure magic, and the audition scene where she and Winslow sing together stands out as the most beautiful moment for me, showing their shared passion for music and recognition. They are really the same people, just in different fonts, connected by art but ultimately consumed by exploitation. The final scene erupts into nothing but pure chaos and looks like a deleted scene from Babylon 😭. Paul Williams' score deserves accolades, with the cantata remaining unforgettable and the emotional core of the film. 4/5!!!
