Spirited Away

showed this to my aunt, she gave it a 4, said she really liked it. i think watching this masterpiece with family heightened the experience a bit, that feeling you get when you show someone a piece of art that you thoroughly enjoy. every time a joke would make her laugh, a creepy scene would make her shiver, a beautiful shot would make her gasp, it made me feel so giddy and happy inside, like i was introducing her to a style and genre of film unexplored by her. this is perfection, and i can’t wait to watch miyazaki’s other films.
