What a beautiful film. This is modern retelling of the story of Pinocchio, and yet it also opens a whole new can of worms. And a robot, made of nuts and bolts, love? This is so much more than iRobot or Bladerunner. It’s an exploration of this through the eyes of a child’s love towards his mother. Spielberg knows how to make your heartbreak and keep breaking. This is just amazing. Though one note. If he would’ve just cut the alien part, it would’ve been 10x better. However, I do understand how after a melancholic journey, he would’ve wanted us to experience some relief. Amazing film.

This film is a disappointment. The film is praised as “The best” while personally I believe No Way Home is 10 times better. The plot was so easy to guess. And so boring. And can we please talk about how we get an ad every 5 MINUTES. Little Ceasers, Audi, Sony, and EVEN THE JUICY PANTS. I genuinely started to believed it was a glorified 2 hour ad. The film tries to be special and monumental, it fails to do the simplest things. The villain is easily guessable, he’s simply not interesting. Jean Grey who was supposed to be the great X-Men, yet they fail to make me care about her. When I thought the film was going to start it ended. I thought the Jean Grey story was gonna get sidelined or at least paused for this big event. However it’s the entire thing. The only good thing is the cinematography, which was amazing. Bad film, even for Marvel standards. It reminds me of Thor Ragnarok and Brave New World.
