Atonement

I tried to play it cool and rate this lower because Briony rage-baited me for two hours, and because it pisses me off that this movie made me so emotional. But here we are. Setting aside the themes of love, war, grief, guilt, and the horribly sad ending, this movie is, in my opinion, about beauty, and it tells its story through light, shadow, and hand movement. As the characters can't express their emotions fully trough words, and words are the root of their problems, the movie expresses all its depth with only visuals. Probably seeing this in cinema made it even more beautiful than it already is.
