Pulp Fiction
Pulp Fiction is an incredible film. At first, I didn’t fully understand what was happening or where the story was going, but once everything started to connect, it became incredibly satisfying. The nonlinear storytelling keeps you engaged and makes the payoff feel earned rather than confusing. The way this movie is filmed is one of its strongest points. Every shot feels deliberate, stylish, and full of personality. Tarantino’s direction gives the film such a distinct tone, and the dialogue while sometimes over-the-top is undeniably memorable. One thing that did stand out, though, was the frequent use of the n-word. It felt excessive and unnecessary at times, and honestly became distracting rather than impactful. Still, this movie is iconic for a reason. The characters are unforgettable, the performances are fantastic, and the Mia and Vincent restaurant scene is genuinely one of the coolest moments in film.
