The movie was pretty decent up until the match, the match was amazing.

I still stand that this MJ is the worst love interest ever seen/ will ever see in live action. Also Harry is sometimes the worst friend ever, but the upside down kiss is iconic so at least something came from it. I don’t really have a favourite Aunt May because I think all of them are great in their own way, Rosemary Harris is pretty much perfect as an Aunt May. I love Toby’s Peter, he’s such a nerd. I also love when he gets bit by the spider, the monitor behind him shows the new spider, the genetic modifications and what those are, I think it’s a cool feature to show what Peter will become. I would personally be a bit more concerned if a mutated spider bit me and made a golf ball looking thing on my hand but that might just be me. Peter’s transformation in this adaptation is sort of dragged out subtly but is also incrediblyy obvious. Nevertheless the scenes are still cool as hell, especially the first time we see his reflexes. Willem Defoe is by far one of the greatest villan actors maybe of all time, if not top 3 definitely top 5, the difference between his Norman and his green goblin is soo cool, amazing casting. J Jonah Jameson is an icon that only J. K Simmons could play. Still hilarious how Peter took literal selfies as Spider-man and no one noticed. I love this movie, maybe in my top 3 of Spider-Man movies, and while some of the CGI does look outdated, it’s still such an iconic movie, and a great start to the trilogy. I’ve seen this hundreds of times and the more I watch the less serious a lot of the movie becomes, especially comparing to when I was a kid.

Okay this movie has grown on me A LOT, for some reason when it first came out, I wasn’t a big fan of Tom Holland as Spider-man, however, I do love all of his movies, and this one I didn’t really rewatch as much as any other Spider-man film. Tom’s Peter is so awkward and nerdy, I actually think I prefer his Peter to his Spider-man. While I do love Peter and Tony’s relationship, I think the only reason why I wasn’t keen on his Spider-man was because that, and all of his fancy suits and everything, but obviously through out this movie he grows and learns a lot, and the scene he pushes himself out of the rubble is one of my favourite scenes of all the movies. I do also like how it’s just Peter as Spider-man, and not him becoming Spider-man initially, but over the course of his movies he does develop more and more, especially his spider sense. Really happy that I did rewatch this one though, probably not my favourite out of Tom’s movies, but it is still a really good movie.

My TV was soo out of sync whilst trying to watch it was really off putting and annoying ANYWAY personally thought this movie was a bit too long, and wasn’t as good as what I was hoping it would have been. Didn’t really understand what was going on. Honestly the only parts I really enjoyed was whenever Noémie was on the screen, I love Cate Blanchett and obviously she’s a phenomenal actress in everything, including this, but for some reason just couldn’t get into it, nearly turned it off halfway through. Might have to give it a rewatch in the future, just couldn’t see what the hype was about.
