Out of all the great al Pacino performances there have been, the only oscar he’s ever won was for scent of a woman, beating denzel Washington for Malcolm x. Not to be a conspiracist, but there’s no way that wasn’t a political decision. Like either give al Pacino basically an honorary Oscar or give denzel Washington an Oscar for portraying controversial political activist Malcolm x in a film that praises the development of his intellect and criticises the ongoing and unresolved racism in America
