**Throne of Blood (1957)** It’s no surprise another [Akira Kurosawa](https://boxd.it/7l3) film turns out to be a masterpiece. The best to ever do it. Throne of Blood is a Shakespearean adaptation of Macbeth set in feudal Japan. It’s a monumental achievement in filmmaking, blending haunting atmosphere, unforgettable imagery, and remarkable craftsmanship. Anything I say would probably be an understatement. Even if you’ve seen thousands of films, there are moments here that feel completely unlike anything else in cinema. Brilliant! *Added to My *[All-Time Favourites](https://boxd.it/xxXAc)

I appreciate the originality, the amazing craft, unique directing and the warmth this movie has. Unfortunately i struggle to enjoy atmosphere-driven cinema.
