We all process grief differently, but through art, you can make hundreds, thousands, millions, or even generations of people mourn alongside you and keep someone you lost alive because for as long as they are remembered, they never truly die. That’s what this film, the novel it’s based on, and the play by William Shakespeare have done. It helps you feel that you’re not grieving alone, helps people understand you and the multitude of emotions you’re going through, even when you yourself don’t yet have the words for them. In that shared experience, grief stops being something isolating and becomes something felt, witnessed, and remembered together. The film is sad and tragic, yet there's beauty to be found in it, just like grief.
