Kill Bill: Vol. 1
From Morricone’s scores to tributes to DePalma’s split-screens to the colors of the garden, the movie is laden with intensity. Tarantino refuses a linear progression of the plot and his shots only compound the exhilarating nature of the film. Overhead tracking shots of the Bride fighting and the panoramic tracking shots of the entire club on Steadicam were mind blowing. I could go on, but this film’s cinematography and sequences were as overtly breathtaking as anything else I’ve ever watched (albeit to my untrained eye).
