Hamnet
had to rewatch this to view it from a different perspective, not only as a letter from Shakespeare to Agnes. hit me even harder than the first watch...
its heartbreaking.2 straight hours of painful silence. the torturing feeling of not being there for the person that you love when they need you the most.
the Hamlet play being all about Shakespeare rewatching and rewatching a reminder about how he wasnt there for Agnes when she needed him the most, when SHE lost their child.
we live for moments like these. we live to be present in our loved ones' life.
if agnes never went to see her husband's play, after the disgust she felt for him when hamnet died... she wouldve never known how much William was suffering. she wanted nothing to do with him, by right.
the tragedy of doing something so important to make the person of your life forgive you, with the cost of harming yourself every day, is beautiful. at the end of the day, this is what life is all about. being there for the people that we love.
and if we 'cannot' , then the apology must be a grave one.
a real life story that gives more than enough messages.
be there for the ones that love you, for the ones you love. life is unpredictable. to be or not to be , he said.
be there . be there for people. dont just go. dont disappear like william did. dont repeat mistakes. dont hurt people that are there for you. you could be the one replaying those regrettable scenarios in ur head, and torturing urself with mourning of what couldve been or could be,just like william did by replaying and replaying Hamlet in plays every chance he couldve gotten. you could be losing yourself and everyone around you. try for people, change for people, dont go away from people. dont run away from life, from responsibilities. dont just go...dont mourn your mistakes. mourn your present, and change your future. we love for life, and we live for love. to be or not to be. i will be. will you, reader?
