Memento
Memento is such a brilliantly crafted film. It pulls you into the mind of someone who can’t trust his own memories. The backward storytelling made me feel the confusion and frustration like I was the one forgetting everything. The way the story unfolds forces you to stay engaged and constantly rethink everything you thought you understood. It’s not just about memory loss — it’s about how much of who we are is tied to the stories we remember and tell ourselves. Guy Pearce’s raw performance grounds it all in emotional reality, making his character’s struggle feel heartbreakingly real. It makes you think about how much of your own identity is built on memory, and how easy it is to bend the truth when we’re trying to survive something painful. It’s a meditation on memory, identity, and truth. Definitely something I’d want to rewatch to understand it more
