I really enjoyed this show I can't lie, over-hated for sure imo. I will say Jae-i getting back with Ri-an was a major kick in the teeth and what was even worse imo, is how they made Ri-an a pseudo-good guy like he's not a bully who preys on the weak (in this case scholarship students) and actively shows no remorse. Not to mention and times, they even tried to portray Kang-ha as almost a bad guy it felt, as though, his more than fair actions, were not justified; he wanted justice for his brother's murder and if I'm honest they all got off super lightly. I also found it super shitty of Jae-i to take Ri-an to do all the things that her and Kang-ha had done together on their final day out together, was a real low-blow and made me like her character a lot less.
I really did enjoy the show and it was evident as I watched it all within 48 hours, definitely not perfect, and as stated previously it was rather annoying to watch, though this was in large due to the plot and design rather than just imperfections as this reaction was more than likely intended.
Also lowkey I felt like He-ra was done dirty, she was a bit of a bitch but she was a vibe, one of the realest characters in the show, and I don't know if it's just me being an idiot but at a couple brief intervals it felt as if she kinda liked Kang-ha, the first incident that came to mind was near the very end when they're sat together eating that yummy looking toast from the vendor that she smiles at him in a (idk how to describe it but I guess like a non-directional flirtatious (lowkey) ) way.
When watching this, up until the very end I thought "yeah this is the big finale all is going well, everyone had made up or at least found where they stand, and I even felt a small bit emotional with the goodbye from Kang-ha to Jae-i and also from Ri-an to her too" but then, and I won't spoil what happens, the end credit scene was a fucking curveball like no other, what was a weird romance drama, became a potential thriller. This has given me hard evidence that this 'limited series' will be back sometime in the near future... and I will be sat!
