Movie 11 of my 2025 Halloween Movie Marathon Before watching, I was expecting this to be overhyped, but I found that it wasn't. I actually really enjoyed this movie! I didn't really think this movie was super scary, but I think the movie makes up for that by being a actually pretty decent coming of age movie (same vein as Stand by Me). It felt nostalgic, warm, and fuzzy, which I liked. The runtime of this movie is three hours long, which is a tad long, but I think that actually works in this movie's favor. This is because the movie is allowed to breathe with it's pacing and to flesh out it's 7 protagonists. This allows the horror and coming of age aspects of this movie to not contradict each other, but instead, to create a feeling wholly unique to this movie. P.S, Tim Curry kills it as Pennywise here P.P.S, This movie made me realize how much of an aesthetic upscale 80s Chinese restaurants are. Dead ass, it looks like a very specific vibe i'm chasing rn.
