Apocalypse Now

I saw that people debate whether this is an anti or pro war movie. I cannot conceptualize how it would be pro war. It made me feel ill. This is the closest to war I ever want to get. That said it did drag on in the second half and became a little melodramatic. I think the whole French plantation scene could’ve been cut because it distances the two foils (Kilgore vs. Kurtz), confuses things, & feels unnecessary. OH MY GOD I JUST REALIZED THAT I WATCHED THE EXTENDED CUT NOOOO I BET THE NORMAL VERSION WAS WAY TIGHTER & BETTER. Rating reflects how good I think the normal version would’ve been 🙂‍↕️
