Loki
This show meant a lot too me, finally seeing my favourite character get a story of their own. The imagery and character development blew my mind. I was great to finally see Loki find himself. Up until that last episode which blew up anything good that show did. Using Loki’s character as an easy way to lead up to the multiverse was not only lazy but shameful too. Loki basically kissing himself was disgusting and supposedly metaphorical or whatever. However considering marvel’s past actions it was honestly a cowardly act to prefer writing selfcest over a mlm couple. But I think regarding the character it could also lead to a deeper Look into Loki. Loki is a guarded person who at least in the marvel universe has never experienced love before, so it makes sense that at feeling platonic love he mistakes it for something that isn’t there.
A big part of Loki’s character is his own self hatred which has influenced most of his actions. So as I see it the nexus event between Loki and Sylvie wasn’t because they were in love with each other but because Loki was finally learning to love and accept himself through sylvie, which completely changes Loki’s character and their future decisions. As dim as the hope may be there’s still a chance that the second season might address Loki’s issues and not simply use him as a plot device.
