Aftersun

When I first started watching I was honestly confused. I was waiting for something to happen. When calum was smoking on the balcony for about 2 minutes straight I was completely confused. Until the details started to come together. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a movie ever filmed like this. It’s almost like your waiting for something big to happen, it seems like it never does, but really it’s happening the whole time without you realizing. It’s one of those movies where you finish it and you just have to sit there for an hour thinking about the movie you just watched, putting together every little detail you saw and just being in awe by how amazing the movie truly is. The more I think about it the more I realize how this movie was simply just a work of art. I feel like I didn’t truly appreciate it until the movie ended. I definitely need to rewatch so I can get the view of truly understanding what was happening and so I can pick up on every detail i missed the first time. I definitely don’t think this movie is for everyone. It can feel slow, but I think it’s meant to feel that way. There’s no need for it to be overly exciting, dramatic, or scary and that’s kinda what makes it perfect. I would give it more stars if I fully understood it the whole time….its just one of those movies where u really have to think about what you were watching and I was stupid for a bit of it.
