Do the Right Thing

For some reason, this is the second movie on my favorite list that takes place during a heat wave. That’s because I think it’s a brilliant way to build tension. It’s paced like a lit fuse heading towards an incendiary climax. This movie is pissed off in a good way, and it’s angry about how we cling to these beliefs that only make us hate each other.  Not to mention, this movie is genuinely beautiful to look at. Absolute perfection.
