In the short section of the exhibition about the short, there was an itemised bill of all of the expenses for the shoot so far at that point. On it, was a handwritten note in Anderson’s writing explaining to his father where his $2000 went. He goes on to say that Owen Wilson had some left from his Dad but that unfortunately he totalled his car and so “there that went.”

Every second is dripping with *everything*. A grandiose but never overwhelming film because Barry’s life is ultimately so lonely. Always love when the start of the film feels like last week by the final act. I love an epic. First visit to the Prince Charles Cinema since Boxing Day 2022 and I was very very happy. Grandad was dreading the seats but he still had a brilliant time because it’s just so engrossing. And it was really busy! The print was pretty rough but honestly I just find that magical that it endures. I love the PCC a lot!

I had the best day ever! The Wes archive exhibition was so good ahhhhhh!
