Solaris
Solaris (1972) might not appeal to everyone, but it's a magnificent film that leaves a lasting impression.
Being my first viewing, I didn't fully grasp everything. It took three attempts to watch it all, which I usually try not to make a habit of, but I don't regret it at all.
Despite the slow tone, my experience is not due to it being "boring" - I'd personally argue that its the complete opposite, it's poetry. The film's tone is serene and trance-like that I felt narcoleptic. Falling asleep and picking it back up twice really cemented the feeling that this was a dream x-raying my subconscious.
My mind is full of theories and analysis, making it hard to organize my thoughts. Solaris will definitely stick with me for a long time.
