Love & Pop

I started a couple of days ago trying to watch kpop demon hunters and this popping up instead, the poster being an illustration I have in an art book (my fav one) which was the deciding factor in me watching. It was a little too relatable and had a lot of things that have crossed my mind before. Written by a bunch of men, I imagine their understanding of their own species is what made the depiction of the girls accurate. It was depressing and had a very hideaki anno type of look to it and could see his influence throughout. I like it a lot, but something’s keeping me from giving it five stars.  It felt too real but also not real enough. Some scenes that maybe were meant to be emotional or maybe not made me very emotional and relatable
