Kill Bill: Vol. 1
i watched this thinking it was gonna be one of those ass movies that got all the hype for no reason. but trust me, its worth all the hype. i have such a short attention span but i cud not take my eyes away from the screen. i need to watch vol. 2 immediately cz what was that cliffhanger?
the way they filmed it and the editing is so amazing. i've not seen a movie which was edited the way kill bill is and its so captivating. i LOVE the way they kept her name and bill's face a secret, its so much immersive that way and kept me excited. the anime in the middle and the colours turning b&w were all so engaging. the dialogue as well?? holy shit? the way uma speaks is so captivating. and all those fancy words js added on.
the violence lowk didnt make sense at some points cz is it even physically possible for blood to spew out like that? the gore was kinda lame but i'll let it slide since this was released in 2003. also after the restaurant massacre, HOW did the people genuinely js walk and leave after having their limbs literally cut clean off?
overall, now that i think about it, it all did seem a little unrealistic. a sword was js allowed on the plane like that? she got all the money she needed after her coma even tho we dont see any of her friends or family? no one heard all the screaming in the hospital and no one noticed the stolen car and speeding the red light on her motorcyle (where did she get THAT from).
