i feel like i’ll appreciate this more on rewatch without ads every 10 minutes also i got to see franks costume at the academy museum and he was freaky asf irl

beautiful. also the fisting joke caught me off guard and i was the only one in my theater to laugh. but mostly it was beautiful

i’ve been kinda “guy that hasn’t seen parasite and wants to watch it to understand the hype but is scared to watch it and have opinions on it because literally everyone else has seen it and talked it through for years now” but oh man. i cannot believe that i live in the universe where parasite won best picture at the oscar’s. frankly, im starting to think that parasite may be the best picture, ever. goddamn

i was kinda worried going in that this movie would be too slow or too artsy or that it wouldn’t hold my attention but god. proved me wrong! train dreams is so good. the life of a man who doesn’t know his place in the world, who lets his life pass him by after he loses everything. wow. it really got to me. and i know we’re not even in the conversation for best picture but i am rooting for you in cinematography train dreams. godspeed
