did i watch this because of shawn hatosy? yes. duh. obviously. i mean come on, young ginger curly headed shawn hatosy? yes please. HOWEVER this movie fucks hard. it’s sort of in the realm of the first scream, like vibe wise, but like shittier in the best way possible. also i have a preexisting love for elijah wood so that made it all the more enjoyable honestly

okay so i put off watching this because i was scared it wouldn’t live up to the book but i really loved it. like, im a sucker for a romcom no matter what, but yeah, this shit really hit like i was hoping it would.  it also did make me mad though about the beach read casting because the casting here was so good. like, how are you gonna look me in the eyes and tell me that’s gus? how are you gonna look at me and tell me that beach read is gonna be good when gus has been awfully cast?
