Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol

Next time, I get to seduce the rich guy. Brad Bird proves that animated and live-action films ain't so different to direct, as he once again shows masterful control over the action and energy of the best Mission: Impossible film yet. Perhaps it helps with Cruise's cartoonish desire to make any stunt possible, but this is just an incredible collection of set pieces, stunts, and heists. The Burj Khalifa scene alone makes this movie one of the all-time greats. I know that Cruise was not really doing the stunts as shown, but my palms were still sweaty watching him scale the building. And not only that, we also get the prison escape, sneaking into the Kremlin, the fan heist, and the car garage fight, all absolutely terrific. Sure there's some corny parts, but Cruise and Co. are just so charming, I don't mind a bit. Great to see Pegg back, and newcomers Patton and Renner are fantastic additions. I want to see more Patton, but I need to speak to her agent because she doesn't seem like she's done much since. Absolutely the best so far of the franchise in my ranking of The Missions: Impossible, Ranked! Tom Cruise Performances, Ranked! Actors I want to see more of (Paula Patton)
