Was it great? Not really. Was it fun? At times sure! I really liked both Milly Alcock and Jason Mamoa in these roles, but I wish the script just wasn’t so wonky. Some jokes fell flat, there were moments that teetered too close to 2010s girlboss feminism for my liking, and the plot uses nearly every excuse it can get to take her powers away from her. I do want to see supergirl again, but maybe we let James handle the next one himself?

Watching this for a second time with friends who hadn’t seen it before was a great experience. Genuinely amazed at the skill and craft that went into this incredibly silly movie.
